ShortVideoAutomation Log in

A video series, published on its own schedule.

ShortVideoAutomation is a private tool. It watches a folder of finished videos, works out how each one should be listed, and publishes it to the YouTube channel it belongs to — at the hours that channel's viewers are actually awake.

There is no sign-up. Access is by password, and the channels it publishes to are its operator's own.

What it does

Watches a folder

Finished videos land in object storage with their thumbnail, description and first comment beside them. Nothing is uploaded twice.

Writes the listing

Title, tags and description come from the files themselves, so nothing is invented about a video nobody has watched.

Publishes on the hour

Each channel has its own times, chosen from where its viewers are, and its own daily limit.

Finishes the job

The thumbnail and the channel's first comment go up once the video has settled, and the file is archived rather than left on a disk.
